AKID’s material collaboration at Lavender Bay

Interior designer Morgan Reid and principal Alexandra Kidd worked alongside product design manager Sarina Suriano, and a team of skilled trades to bring this extraordinary and bespoke project to life. The design brief called for a timeless, durable aesthetic that subtly embraces nautical themes to rejuvenate a long-held family property for the next generation.
A selection of Eveneer Raw ALPI Maritime Pine and chocolate-hued Ristretto add depth to the gentle softness of Milkwood. “It was the special finish used inside a lot of the joinery, so you have this beautiful unwrapping element as you open all the cupboards,” Kidd says. “It was also detailed into a lot of the custom-made furniture pieces.”
Early collaboration among trades ensured the veneers, stones and timbers integrated into the home with ease. As Reid explains: “As an interior designer, it’s a dream come true to collaborate so closely with talented tradespeople and artisans. The trust and communication we had on this project allowed us to push boundaries and achieve something truly bespoke, crafted to last for generations.”
Through an innovative use of Elton Group’s Eveneer and a deeply collaborative process, Lavender Bay Home achieves harmony in materials and functionality.
