Reverie
As presenting partner, Elton Group showcases the distinctive character and creative versatility of its ALPI Designer Collection, transforming both vintage and current-stock selections into striking, sculptural plinths. Each veneer reveals its own unique grain, colour and character, demonstrating how considered material selection can elevate a surface into a design statement.
At the heart of the installation are the iconic ALPI California Burl and ALPI Walnut Burl , celebrated for their intricate, swirling grain and organic beauty. These are complemented by Pierro Lissoni’s ALPI Xilo Blush Cherry Crown, in a refined pink hue, and the bold, graphic expression of Estudio Campana’s ALPI Sushi Dark Grey, a surface charge with poetry and energy.
To bring these materials to life, Jessica Rayment commissioned local furniture designer Crafty Joints to create bespoke plinths that respond to the personality of each veneer. The result is a dialogue between material and form, where the plinths become sculptural works in their own right, amplifying the beauty and individuality of the veneers they support.
The collaboration embodies Elton Group’s Art Series philosophy: Change Your Perspective. Discover New Possibilities. It demonstrates how a shift in material, application or perspective can transform the familiar into something extraordinary, inspiring architects, interior designers and makers to explore new creative possibilities with timber veneer.
